Pancake Breakfast – Sunday at 9:00 am
Join us on February 19 at 9am in the Fellowship Hall for a Pancake Breakfast before heading to Sunday School.
We will have a pre-Lent celebration based on the Shrove Tuesday, or Fat Tuesday, idea. Pancakes are traditionally eaten on Shrove Tuesday, which is the day before Lent begins. Shrove Tuesday is a day to have fun, dance and play before beginning a special time of thinking about Jesus. We call this time “Lent”. Some people used to fast or not eat during the time of Lent. Pancakes were eaten to use up the fat, eggs and butter in the home.
