Don’t Forget Dress A Girl Around the World
All is going well regarding the Sept. 8th dress a girl event, please consider joining us!
September 8th from 9AM to 3PM in the Gathering Place will be our Third Annual Sewing Event for “Dress A Girl” at Spring Branch Presbyterian Church. We will be making dresses from pillow cases and material plus will have patterns for little boy’s shorts.
There will be a container near the office for donations of
- material
- pillowcases made from bright and dark fabrics
- thread
- elastic (3/4 or ½ inch)
- rick rack
- extra wide double fold bias tape
during the month of August.
Plus we will have the updated revised instructions on making the dresses for little girls at the office for you to read prior to the event. There will be tables set up for sewing machines and cutting tables for the pillow cases that day. There will also be a need of pressing and if you can stitch on buttons that will be provided for decorations. Lunch and drinks will be provided for all that can attend and help that day. Please let Beverly Davidson know if you can attend and if you will be bringing a sewing machine so there will be plenty of spaces.

All help is much appreciated for this worthwhile service project. I have heard that a light lunch may also be available for those working.
