What a great time we had Saturday on National Make A Difference Day!
Eighteen ladies helped Make A Difference in the life of young girls in other countries. We worked on pillowcase dresses Saturday, Oct. 25 in The Gathering Place. Doris Wright, Carol Davis, Jessica Magnuson and Karen Dikeman sewed on machines while Anne Brewin, Betty Shumate & Susan Lin sewed by hand. Luna Lassiter & Kay Craig worked on selecting just the right fabric for a pocket on the dresses. Barbara Tremble, Melissa Rendon, Sara Treon & Edda Chirwa pinned bias tape & elastic on the dresses. Betty Magnuson, Rhonda Hill, Peggy Tremble & Isabella Moreno and her niece worked on a variety of different jobs. Betty & Jessica Magnuson and Kay Craig provided a homemade soup and salad lunch.
