Announcements & News:

  • Save the date for a Drive-In Service on Pentecost Sunday! We will gather in the parking lot on Sunday, May 31st at 9:00 AM. Tune your car radio to FM 89.5 and you’ll be able to hear everything. In an effort to practice social distancing, you will receive a copy of our Sunday Bulletin to print for you and your family, or you can follow along on your smartphone. Deck your car out in red and participate in the decorating contest! The service will be streamed live at www.facebook.com/springbranchpres.
  • The Worship Team values your feedback and welcomes you to participate in this survey. However we decide to move forward, if we are gathering in-person, you will be asked to maintain social distancing protocols and wear face coverings/masks. Information will be forthcoming as we adapt our worship to being safe and as meaningful as possible.
  • Memorial Day, May 25th – Bless the military families of those whose lives were given for our freedoms. May we remember the brave men and women who served our nation.
  • Pastor’s Bible Study continues digitally this week on Zoom! Watch for more details on how to join this study.
  • Thank you to everyone that has been coming to our Drive-Thru Wednesday Night Suppers! Join us for our final Drive-Thru dinner of the 2020 school year this week. On the menu is Kevin’s smoked chicken, potato salad, fresh fruit salad, garlic bread, and dessert. Please email secretary@springbranchpres.org with the number of dinners you want, and if there is anything that you don’t care for. The dinner will be free but we are accepting donations. We welcome you to continue to bring donations for the Fair Haven Food Pantry while picking up your meals (non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies, and paper products). We are also continuing to accept thank you cards for our dedicated healthcare workers in Houston. Per the request of the hospitals, please do not seal the envelopes.
  • Please join us for our final Virtual Wednesday Night Supper on the 27th at 6:30pm! We can provide a link, but we can’t “guarantee your usual table.” You can join the meeting by visiting zoom.us/join or by using the Zoom app. Here is the information to join the meeting, Meeting ID: 902 581 177, and Password: 008889. We’ll be online from 6:30-7:30pm with our “host” for the week, Miguel. This is a “come-and-go call” so don’t feel like you have to stay on for the full hour. We hope to ‘see’ you there!
  • Happy Hands has been canceled for this Wednesday, May 27th. Save the date for Happy Hands on June 24th at 9:30 AM!
  • Thank you to everyone that has been contributing to the church in the absence of our usual Presentation of Tithes and Offerings on Sunday mornings. Don’t forget that the church expenses continue just the same. If at all possible, please mail your contributions, drop off your offering in a sealed envelope to the mailbox in front of the Education Building, or use the online giving option (www.springbranchpres.org/give).

The Pentecost Offering helps our youth begin life with a strong start – a solid foundation of faith formed in the years from childhood through young adulthood.
Ways to Give:

  • Through your congregation (by mailing contributions to the church office or donating at our Pentecost Drive-In Service)
  • Text YOUNG to 56512 to learn more or to donate
  • Give online at pcusa.org/pentecost

A foundation of faith established during childhood through adulthood helps ensure lifelong faith and service. When you give to the Pentecost Offering, you are helping to provide opportunities for young people to grow and share in their faith in Christ.

Blessings,

Spring Branch Presbyterian Church
