Spring Branch Family Development Center is the Mission of the Month for April
Spring Branch Family Development Center is a unique community resource that provides the neighbors and the surrounding Spring Branch community with Education, Recreational Programs and a Community Health Clinic all on one 8 acre site.
This mission exists to enhance the well being and development of the families in the Spring Branch community. it is located at 8575 Pitner, a typically under-served part of Spring Branch. This center caters to over 6,000 residents. There are three buildings, The education portion is Panda Path, a Pre-K center which operates with SBISD, the Boys and Girls Club, which occupy s the second building and the third houses a fully- equipped medical clinic with nutritional programs for women, infants and children.There is much, much more to learn about this fantastic resource. While they encourage volunteering for their annual events, they request you speak Spanish. Ricardo Barnes, the executive director, says the centers bigger need is for volunteers behind the scenes.
