Boots on the Ground: Stewardship Campaign
Boots on the Ground!
Stewardship Campaign
“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.” -Psalm 96:3
Getting back to business! After so long at home with the pandemic, we are getting back to normal and are beginning a Stewardship Campaign for 2023.
Our theme this year is Boots on the Ground, because we are looking for active, in-person participants. It’s time to get back to our Missional Church! In this campaign, we are, of course, asking for your financial pledge for the new year, but more than that, we are requesting that you look into the past and remember the volunteering and mission projects that you worked with. It’s hard to get back, so we ask that you pick one thing you remember that you enjoyed – Seafarer’s Boxes, Angel Tree, decorating the church for Advent and Christmas, singing in the choir, to name a few opportunities.
Our active campaign will run from October 16th through the end of October, with a final celebration lunch on October 30th. On that day, we ask that everyone come to worship wearing boots – any type of boot – rain boots, cowboy boots, work boots, hiking boots, high heeled boots – whatever you like!
Attached below is a Stewardship devotional called Living Gratitude to use over the next 28 days. We hope that you will enjoy it as a daily read in your spiritual life. Paper copies are also available for pickup from the Narthex and Church Office.
Let’s get back in the Spirit with Boots on the Ground!
