Fall Festival – Friday, Oct. 14th

Posted on September 16, 2011

The Fall Festival will return to SBPC on October 14th.  Kids of all ages are invited to come take part in the fun.  Halloween costumes are encouraged.  This is a fundraiser for the Academy to raise money for new cribs and a fun family night out as well!  Some of the festivities this year include:   Ferris Wheel, Haunted House (sponsored by the SPBC Youth!), Train, Cake Walk, Pumpkin Toss, Face painting, Giant Bowling, and a Food Court serving hot dogs, nachos and more!

Mark your calendars and buy your tickets in advance at the Academy office.   Early Bird Special for tickets ends on October 10th.  Prepaid tickets purchased by October 10th will be 6 for a dollar.  Tickets the night of the event will be 4 for a dollar.

HOW CAN I HELP AT THE FESTIVAL?  Church members, if you are wondering how to get involved helping with the Festival there are 3 things you are can do to help:

  1. Sign up to volunteer the night of the Festival.  Things we need help with include ticket taking, serving refreshments, and “back up” for some of the busier booths.  It would also be great if we could put a booth together highlighting the Youth Activities currently available at the church and figure out a way to highlight the youth room in the new building.   If you are interested in helping please contact Jennifer Fuller at jenfittsfuller@gmail.com
  2. Take a pumpkin from the Pumpkin Patch.  There are orange pumpkins in the “Pumpkin Patch” located on the window of the Academy office.  They consist of easy things to pick up at the grocery store such as hot dogs, buns, cokes, candy, chips, etc.  If you aren’t interested in coming to the Festival but would like to help out, this is an easy way to do so.  No cooking involved!
  3. Donate towards the rides and booths.  If you know anyone with a local business who would like to participate please have them contact Renee Henry at the Academy.  These are tax deductible donations and the Academy will provide anyone that donates with a letter for tax purposes.  Also, individuals are welcome to combine their resources to sponsor as a group as well.  The items that we still need donations for are:  Bounce slide $225.00, Train $350.00, Putt Putt Golf   $25.00, Petting Zoo   $275.00, Clowns – Face painting and Balloon animals   $200.00.

You can also help by getting the word out!  Tell your friends and neighbors to come by and join in the festivities.  Grandkids are welcome too!   Children who are not enrolled at the Academy are welcomed and encouraged to attend.  This is a great opportunity to showcase our Academy AND our church to the community.
