The annual Focus Conference is held by Presbytery the first weekend of October.  This conference used to be for Sunday School teachers and church officer’s training.  This year there is no registration cost and everyone should be interested in some of the workshops offered.

Ed Kilbourne has been invited this year as the Keynote Speaker.  There is a selection of morning workshops, lunch and then several afternoon workshops.  If you’d like, you can sign up for a $10 boxed lunch or you could bring your own, just let them know with your registration so that they have a correct headcount for lunch. Usually, we are charged $30/person, and it is not far from our church – so this is a great bargain.

FYI…  One of the Bonus workshops is What Will Change? (nFOG), presented by Rev. Diane Prevary who serves as Stated Clerk of the Presbytery of New Covenant.

nFOG is the Proposed New Form of Government that details some of the policies and procedures currently in the Book of Order that congregations and governing bodies now will need to adopt.

Please refer to the flyer insert for more information. It includes the registration form, so print it out and hand in to the church office or mail it directly to presbytery’s office by September 23, 2011.
