Opportunities to Volunteer – Artists and Business people
Have you heard of NewSpring?
You might have seen their art studio on the corner of Blalock and Campbell (next to the Polish Restaurant). It’s a student art studio to reach out to middle and high school students in to Spring Branch. They offer after school classes and are always seeking adults willing to supervise students during their after school program. It’s a great opportunity to help some awesome kids.
They also run a business plan competition for students in the Entrepreneurship classes at HCC. They are looking for business minds to coach entrepreneurial hopefuls throughout the competition. The committment is one evening a month and a phone call to your mentee starting this November. It too is a great opportunity to share your experience in the School of Hard Knocks and maybe even share your faith.
