Peace, the Second Week of Advent
“All the Light We Cannot See”
We began the second week of Advent, the week of Peace, hearing the re-telling of Elizabeth’s story in a first person narrative by Rev. Dr. Laurey Murphy. The Gospel according to Luke starts with the foretelling of John the Baptist’s birth, in making way for our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Old Testament reading for the week comes from the Book of Malachi, chapter 3, versus 1-4. The Gospel Reading is from the Gospel According to Luke, chapter 3, versus 1-6.
