Remember, remember, remember when…

Think back about some of those very special times that you had at church or with church friends.  Was it your wedding, your child’s baptism, a meaningful Christmas eve service, a special outing with your youth group, a sweaty service project, or a really fun party?  All of these special memories are what make the church your church.

For the 60^th Diamond Jubilee Celebration there will be a wall sized time line of the past six decades.  Already on the time line will be “anchor” dates to help jog your memories.  The anchor dates will include the dates of employment/ministry of church staff, events related to buildings – when they were built and when they were destroyed – and a few major events that set the direction of the church.

You are asked to complete the picture of what the church is by writing your individual memories that have made you a part of the fellowship at Spring Branch Presbyterian onto the time line. 

The large time line will be available for your additions at Wednesday Night Suppers on October 24^th and 31^st and, of course, at the celebration on November 4.   Start thinking about what you want to add to the collective memory of this special church.  If you have pictures or other small items, feel free to bring them to attach to the timeline.

Don’t forget to RSVP for the celebration dinner by October 21^st.
