Return to Obedience
Do you ever feel that one moment you are striving to follow God with heart and mind and soul and strength, and then—before you can blink—you are serving false gods? You are not alone.
In Romans 7, Paul wrote that just as soon as he determined to do good, he would find himself doing the very things he did not wish to do. It is something all of God’s disciples face, and we especially see it in the wandering and wayward Israelites discussed in the Book of Judges.
In our lesson this Sunday, we see how God sometimes allows us to suffer the consequences of our choices. But, God has great compassion, and his blessings come to us through faithfulness and obedience.
