SBPC – a Good Neighbor
On Tuesday, November 5, Spring Branch Presbyterian Church was recognized in the Good Neighborhood Programs sponsored by Spring Branch Independent School District. During the past year SBPC:
• Hosted many SBISD events, including the SBISD University Interscholastic League practice, various car washes and Odyssey of the Mind team meetings
• Held the charter for Boy Scout Troop #478, providing SBISD students with a place to participate in scouting and provided the Boy Scout Hut for weekly meetings
• Provided support for six SBISD area Girl Scout troops
• Served K-5th graders from SBISD with an after-school program with extracurricular activities, study time, snacks, and field trips
• Mentored students at Cedar Brook Elementary through the Spring Board Mentoring Program
• Provided SBISD students participating in the Angel Tree program with summer camp experiences at Cam Cho-Yeh and girts during the Christmas season
