Service Opportunities in August
We have plenty of service opportunities for you as we start the new school year Please feel free to share these or invite family, friends, and neighbors!
August 3rd – We’ll have peanut butter sandwiches and make bookmarks to send with our books to the Women’s Home. All are invited from the youngest to the oldest.
August 13th – The Spring Branch Family Development Center on Pitner Road will have a school immunization day from 8am-noon. If you are over eighteen and are interested in helping, visit their website to fill out the volunteer registration form. If you have any questions, please contact Chuck Davidson.
August 20th – We’re planning a service day at MAM from 12:30 – 3:30. We will meet at MAM at 12:30, work hard, and then go get ice cream. Please let Kate Cross know if you plan to attend by August 13th, once we know how many are going we’ll have a good idea what we will be doing.
In July we collected novels for the Women’s Home, a home and resource for women who are pulling their lives back together. They plan to start a library with our books as well as some book clubs. Please bring the books that you have to give to the church by August 7th.
