Upcoming Speeches with Dr. Louis Markos
Many of us enjoyed the C.S. Lewis classes Dr. Louis Markos held in January and September 2012, so I’m sharing with you some dates for some of his upcoming events.
First, Dr. Markos is currently running a series called “A to Z with C.S. Lewis” on his webpage: www.Loumarkos.com
On Wednesday, January 30, Dr. Markos will give a speech based on his new book, “On the Shoulders of Hobbits: The Road to Virtue with J. R. R. Tolkien,” for Second Baptist Church in Houston. This one is free and open to the public. It will include a booksigning.
On Wednesdays, February 13-March 6, Dr. Markos will teach a 4-part class for The Rice School of Continuing Studies. The topic: The Legacy of Rome, from Aeneas to the Fall of the Empire. On Fridays, February 22-March 8, Dr. Markos will deliver a three-part lecture series on Mere Christianity for St Thomas Episcopal Church in Houston. Free and open to the public.
On Friday, March 22, Dr. Markos will deliver a keynote address, “C. S. Lewis on Theology,” for an Inklings conference sponsored by the Department of Philosophy, Houston Baptist University. On Wednesday, April 3, Dr. Markos will give an apologetics talk, “C. S. Lewis for the 21st Century,” for the Parish and Community Library Section of the Catholic Library Association held in Houston.
