Wedesday Night Suppers
This is a weekly opportunity to gather for a wonderful meal. It is one day out of the week when we don’t ask ourselves, “What shall we have for dinner tonight?” because volunteers at the church provide delicious meals at a nominal cost. It is one night of the week when we are sure to find friendly faces and lively conversation, and a safe place to just have some down time. There is no program or agenda—just the gathering of friends and neighbors.
Why? Because this is what Jesus did. Throughout the Gospel we hear of Jesus sitting and eating with people—with tax collectors and sinners, with disciples and with friends. There were times he reached across social boundaries, and times he found comfort with familiar faces. This is where we are nourished body and soul—where friendships are formed and stories are shared. Come, and let us break bread together…
