What is Cana Grace??

Posted on February 10, 2013

Wherever Jesus went, he celebrated people —whether it was people at a wedding feast in Cana, people being healed, people sharing a meal together. He carried a spirit of celebration with him as he proclaimed a God of love and joy.

The joyous wedding feast at Cana (Luke 2:1-11) is still a sign to us, the church, today to rejoice! David Steele was a Presbyterian pastor and author who called this spirit of celebration “Cana Grace.” “Cana Grace” is about the knack of making people feel welcomed, a sense of well-being and loved!

“Cana Grace” overflows at SBPC! But it doesn’t just happen!

It is a spirit that is more caught than taught. It is intentional in our ministries of fellowship and hospitality and service. And there is always the need for a few more hands for “Cana Grace” to happen! Look for that need on the bulletin board in the Sanctuary Narthex…and don’t hesitate to sign up where and when you can!
