This beautiful artwork was created by children that participated in the “Prayground” during Worship. As the Worship service centered around the Holy Spirit as part of the Reformation Series, the children were experiencing the Holy Spirit as children do best — with this hands-on activity.
Sunday Morning Offerings at 9:30 a.m.
The Children’s Sunday School Class meets at 9:30am on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month in the Children’s classroom in The Gathering Place. The Children learn more about the stories in the Bible by having crafts, stories, games, and other fun activities. The class is designed for elementary-age children, ages 5 to 10, but all are welcomed.
Children’s Chime Choir
This is a chance for elementary aged children to get to ring chimes as part of Worship. We we will meet the second and fourth Sunday each month during the Sunday School hour (these are the Sundays that do not have children’s Sunday School). We are so excited to start up this new adventure! Please contact Megan Hogg for additional details.
Messy Church
Messy Church meets the first Thursday of every month in the Fellowship Hall at 5:00pm! Messy Church is a form of church that involves creativity, celebration, and hospitality and enables people of all ages to belong to Christ together. Services may include: Crafts, science, games, mission, songs, scripture, and a short talk that ties everything together. It is designed to be comfortable to those who haven’t been to church ever before or who haven’t been in a long time. Contact messychurch@springbranchpres.org for more info.
Special Events
Throughout the year special events are held for the children and their families. See the Church Calendar and “Latest News” for upcoming events.
WOW: Worship on a Weekday
The Academy children have a time of worship with Bible stories, prayer, and songs in the afternoon one day a week. They learn songs supporting the faith and periodically share their songs with the Congregation at Wednesday Night Supper and church services. Depending on the time of year, the “weekday” changes. See the Church Calendar for WOW dates/times!
Camps
In the summer, elementary children are encouraged to attend our Vacation Bible School as well as camps at Cho-Yeh near Livingston.
